We checked the website yesterday evening. It said it was open. We drove a reasonable distance only to find it was closed. We're very impressed.

The tagline of the National Trust is ‘for everyone, forever’. This is a tad hypocritical. The opening hours of Dudmaston appear to primarily benefit the Hamilton-Russell family rather than the general public!

Only visited the grounds and cafe which were to the usual National Trust high standards. This was our first visit and the reception staff were most helpful and informative. We will return to visit the house in the future.

We loved the visit. It covered a larger area than we thought, which contained lively walks in beautiful grounds. The house was very interesting, especially as the family still live there. They have shared their long family hustory to the public. It also contains art from all over the world. Well worth a visit.

Lovely National Trust house with beautiful estate. Walking round the lake and through the woods was a joy on a nice day. Nice café for a coffee or light lunch to boot.

Probably needs a sunny day. We're not into wandering around other people's houses. More information on the route round the lake would be useful.
